PM-kisan yojana: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) is a major scheme of the Government of India, which aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of the country. PM-Kisan Yojana was started by the Central Government in 2019. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 is given to eligible farmers every year in three installments – each installment is ₹ 2,000.

Some technical and administrative reforms have been made in the plan in 2025:
1. E-KYC mandatory: Now it is necessary for all beneficiaries to do E-KYC.
2. Linking with land records: The details of the farmer’s land should be connected to the digital land records.
3. Digital Payment System: All installments are being sent directly to farmers’ bank accounts.
4. Mobile Alert: The status of every installment is now sent to farmers through SMS and mobile app.

– Farmers should be a citizen of India.
– He should have agricultural land up to 2 hectares (5 acres).

– Income tax payers (income tax paying) farmers are not eligible for this scheme.

2. Select the option “New Farmer Registration”.
3. Fill the Aadhaar number, land details, bank account and mobile number.
4. Submit and keep the receipt.
